The actress we are talking about is none other than Shefali Shah. Shefali was born on 22 May 1973 in Mumbai. His father Sudhakar Shetty was a banker in RBI while his mother Shobha is a homeopathy doctor.
Shefali’s early education was from Arya Vidya Mandir. After this he took graduation degree in Science from Mithibai College. However, Shefali was more inclined towards art from the beginning. He was very fond of singing and painting. Shefali had also taken training in Bharatnatyam. Apart from this, she also did theatre.
While doing theatre, Shefali entered the TV world in 1993 and did a show called ‘Naya Nukkad’. After this, the actress did many serials like ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, ‘Aarohan’, ‘Hasratein’, ‘Patjhad’, ‘Kabhi Kabhi’, ‘Sea Hawks’, ‘Raahen’ and ‘Ramayana’. However, even after doing so many TV serials, Shefali did not get much recognition.
While doing TV, she also started doing films. She made her Bollywood debut in 1995 with Aamir Khan and Urmita Matondkar starrer film ‘Rangeela’. Shefali played a small role of Mala Malhotra in this film. After this, in 1998, Shefali played the role of Manoj Bajpayee’s wife in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Satya’. Shefali was highly appreciated for this character and she was also honored with the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress.
After this, Shefali worked in many more films, including ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Monsoon Wedding’, ‘The Last Year’, ‘Black and White’, ‘Laxmi’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, ‘Brothers’, ‘Commando 1’ and ‘Darlings’. However, despite doing strong acting in many films, Shefali did not get the name and fame she deserved.

After this, Shefali also worked in the second season of ‘Delhi Crime’ and this season was also a hit.
Apart from this, the actress also grabbed a lot of headlines with ‘Humans’. Today Shefali has got the recognition which she had been yearning for for years. Today she is counted among the powerful actresses.
